113 Arizonans Selected for Catalyze Class 4

News and Announcements

We have selected 113 Arizonans, including 6 high school students, to participate in our fourth Catalyze class. The program is held virtually with in-person activities and is designed to set participants up to take action on Arizona’s most pressing issues. This cohort represents leaders from across our great state as well as their diverse perspectives and various communities.

“My Catalyze experience put me in the room with other committed leaders who are actively seeking ways to positively impact our state’s most pressing issues,” says Christine Bracamonte Wiggs, an alumna of both VL’s Institute and Catalyze programs, who also participates in Valley Leadership’s Impact Maker, “The diversity of experience, knowledge, and talent among my Catalyze colleagues sparked my curiosity and passion in new ways and recharged my commitment to do for AZ.”

During the 6-month program, participants grow their connections to the people and issues that impact Arizona, while gaining new skills and experiences. By the end of the program, each participant leaves with a commitment and a plan for how to get more engaged in the community.

49% of the Catalyze Class 3 graduates chose to get involved with Impact Maker, a collaborative community venture housed at Valley Leadership that mobilizes Arizonans to create long-term change on the issues of the day.

“At Valley Leadership, we believe that folks can lead from any position, and we support participants to do that through connecting them to other leaders who are driven to make a positive impact on our state,” said Carrie Larson, Program Manager for Catalyze. “We look forward to welcoming Catalyze Class 4 and working together to develop a broad coalition committed to working together to address our state’s most crucial issues in a way that creates lasting change.”

VL is grateful to the Catalyze Class 4 sponsors, Sprouts, SRP, CAP for their continued support and dedication to our programming.
